Webster Magowo

Webster Magowo was born in Chegutu, Zimbabwe. He attended Hatfield High school in Harare. Webster graduated with a Bachelor of Science honors in biochemistry. Webster has worked in various capacities in the brewing industry. He has worked mainly in the Quality department as a Laboratory technician as well as Quality Controller. He did a project on the immobilization of Lactic Acid Bacteria for the continuous production of lactic acid as well as for use in probiotics. He has also worked in the cleaning industry also in the quality assurance department.

At African Leadership Academy Webster is a Laboratory Technician. He prepares reagents, equipment and material for students’ practicals (both practice and final exams). His other duties include: Ensuring readiness of laboratory space, equipment and material for class sessions and practical’s; Providing general support to science faculty during teaching and laboratory sessions; Preparing and running demonstrations on request; Ensuring regular monitoring and reviewing laboratory safety systems; Carrying out basic repairs and calibration of science equipment; Leading stock taking, inventories and general management of laboratory equipment and resources.
