Michael Adeleye

Michael Adeleye has taught physics at the secondary school and university levels in Nigeria at institutions including Adesoye College, Loyola Jesuit College and Bingham University. At Loyola Jesuit College, Michael was Head of Physics and later Head of Department of Science when the school recorded the highest marks in Nigeria for four consecutive years.
At both Loyola Jesuit College and Bingham University Michael was awarded “Most Dedicated Faculty” awards. He is also a proud winner of St. Ignatius of Loyola Service Award for outstanding contribution to Jesuit Education.
Michael has B.Sc. (Hons) in Physics and M.Sc. in Theoretical Physics from Nigeria’s premier university, the University of Ibadan, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Education from the National Teachers’ Institute. He is currently completing his Ph.D degree in Nuclear Physics. Michael’s main research interest is in the fields of Nuclear and Theoretical Physics. His Current research work is centred around the Physics and the applications of Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) using Miniature Neutron Source Reactors (MNSRs) and High Purity Germanium (HPGe) detector spectrometers.
Michael is a member of the Science Teachers Association of Nigeria (STAN), the Nigerian Institute of Physics (NIP) and the International Network of Emerging Nuclear Specialists (INENS).
